Born and raised in the heart of New York City, Hiram
came from a close-knit Puerto Rican musical Christian family. His father was a minister and played the Trombone in marching
bands and in church. Hiram soon began to find expression through piano, guitar, organ and drums, all of which he learned
by ear. It was later, he studied voice privately with Julliard teachers in Manhattan NY.
Hiram has been able to combine his cultural upbringing, life
experiences and relationship with God, into heartfelt melodic compositions, pleasing to the ear, heart & soul.
For
over 25 years, Hiram's musical career has led him to become a composer, arranger, producer and multi-instrumentalist, involved
with local talent, church and community music programs, in New York City, Hudson
Valley and now in Florida. He has proven to be a valued contributor
to the music scene, helping young people to develop their musical gifts.
Hiram has performed music ranging
in styles from Jazz/Fusion, R&B, Latin, Gospel and Country. He has worked effectively as a
studio musician, producer of demo projects, as a private teacher, music director for nursery schools and churches
and musician.
Traveling and touring has taken Hiram throughout the Eastern
U.S.,
including Canada
and Puerto Rico.
